I was looking at this rebate check that many people will be receiving from IRS and I think there has been some confusion. Some are saying that individuals will get $600, couples will get $1200, and you will get $300 per child. This is not necessarily the case. That is the maximum amount a family or person can get. It will depend on your income how much you receive. The very poor and the rich will not receive anything. I encourage you to go to the following website and read the story. Just don't expect something that may not come.

That sucks! I was really hoping I would get an extra $300 back for some extra money in my savings, so I can live when I can't find a job after graduating with an English degree! Thanks for the info though so I at least know now and not when the check comes in the mail.
